Yogurt & Granola Bowl
I love being a morning person. As soon as the sun is up, so am I. Mostly, I like to spend these waking hours by going to a barre class, running three to four miles, or doing some sort of chore before I go into work. This gives me the feeling of accomplishment before I start my day, then I can keep the ball rolling! Fitting in a busy morning before heading to the office doesn’t always leave me time to make a satisfying breakfast. And it is very true, breakfast is the most important meal of the day!
To those of you with the same struggle, I found a light and tasty meal to keep me going. This yogurt and granola bowl is a simple, healthy breakfast that doesn’t make you feel bloated all day long. Au revoir pain au chocolat! This bowl is based with strawberry kefir yogurt, topped with French vanilla almond granola, and served with blueberries and strawberries. I chose kefir yogurt, because it is loaded with many probiotics and is high in protein, which reduces hunger cravings throughout the day. When you have hangry tendencies like myself, finding food high in protein is essential!
