24 Hours in London

Somethings are better late than never... like this post about my trip to Europe that I took nearly 8 months ago!

While the truth is that it has been many months since I spent two weeks traveling through England, Ireland, France, and Spain, it was such an incredible trip that I couldn't actually skip over these posts. A lot has happened in the last few months that made putting off these posts easy. To start - taking about 5000+ photos in Europe was definitely overwhelming. During the last couple months I've had a few pretty big life changes occur as well. You can read about all of it in my Live Kerfully Life Update post.

Now that I'm back in Live Kerfully action I found that the benefit of editing travel photos months later is that it feels like I get to relive the vacation all over again. London was the first stop on my journey through Europe, and I really only spent 24 hours in London this trip. It was very brief, but Matt and I packed in 4 countries in 2 weeks so we limited our stay to 1-3 nights in each town. While you definitely can't see it all, I've added a few things to see and do when you're only in London for 1 day.

Where To Stay:

  • My Bloomsbury

  • Rosewood London

  • The London Edition

    Where To Eat:

    • Sketch London
    • Peggy Porschen Cakes
    • Biscuitteers
    • Aubaine Restaurant
    • The Orangery Restaurant (for Afternoon Tea)

      What To Do:

      • The London Eye
      • Double Decker Bus Tour
      • Tour Westminster Abbey
      • Shopping on Oxford Street

      What To See:

      • Buckingham Palace
      • Big Ben
      • London Tower Bridge
      • Kew Gardens
      • Kensington Gardens
      • Rainbow Colored Houses on Baywater Street
      • Neal's Yard

To be honest, with limited time in any city you can research a whole slew of activities, restaurants, pubs, and tours, but narrow down your must-dos to 1-2 activities and you won't leave disappointed. I knew I couldn't leave London without having dinner at Sketch. It is the most Instagrammed restaurant after all! Matt and I may have spent our only night in London taking a late dinner reservation to experience Sketch, but it was absolutely worth it. The service and food was equally as impeccable as the decor. We ordered way too much food, but you have to splurge a little when it's your first day on vacation.
